Eight years later, there is little mention of this momentous anniversary just a few minutes of the presidents visit to a memorial at the Pentagon. Some have probably gave it some thought and some have went on with their day with not even a slight recollection. The two wars have become increasingly unpopular and a new president has been elected partly because he vowed to end one of them. Osama Bin Laden, the main suspect and confessed orchestrator of the tragedy has still not been caught, dead or alive. Army generals are asking for more troops and Congress is more resistant. Is the memory of September 11th, 2001 less important as years go by? Have Americans become complacent?
